This project is to carry out Life Extension Works by means of installing and commissioning new Removable Equipment Buildings (REB) at both Balderton CCTV and Osterfen CCTV level crossings.

The project is also to provide crossing CCTV transmission layer uplift to FTN-x at Claypole signal box from:

i)                 Osterfen CCTV crossing.

ii)                Balderton CCTV crossing.

iii)               Barnby Lane CCTV crossing.

iv)               Bull Pitt Lane CCTV crossing.

v)                Barnby CCTV crossing.

These works shall maintain or improve the current levels of reliability and performance, with the renewal of obsolete and deficient signalling assets. These works will also improve staff safety and welfare while carrying out maintenance duties, including improved protection to signalling assets providing OPEX efficiencies through reduced maintenance and failure costs, training, and spare part requests.
